Hola a todos bueno escribo este post ya que he intentado y buscado la forma de instalar laaceleracion y nada me ha funcionado lo que me da mas rabia es que en todos los ubuntus que he tenido 6.10-7.4-7.10 y kubuntu se instala de maravilla pero en debian no he podido

intente con envy la 0.9.9-0ubuntu6 y me dice que falta unas dependencias pero no me dice cuales son
probe con los controladores de la pagina oficial de nvidia y nada versiones NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.07-pkg1.run y la
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.09-pkg1.run
me sale este error

luego al hacer m-a a-i nvidia

y me sale este error ha fallado la compilacion del paquete nvidia-kernel-source que desea hacer

examinar el fichero del registro de lacompilacion
omotirlo y seguir con la operacion siguiente
detener el procesamiento de ordenes de compilacion

saben y para confesarle me gusto debian mucho mas que cualquier version de ubuntu es mucho mas estable rapida y confiable Niky45 tenias razon jejeje no me gustaria tener que regresar a usar ubuntu solo por la grafica es que compre una tarjeta especial para tebner aceleracion y asi seria un desperdicio no utilizarla

sin alguien puede darme una manito se lo agradeceria mucho ya he intentedo de todo no se que mas puedo hacer u saludo a todos y gracias de antemano

recuerda que si quieres instalar los drivers de tu tarjeta de video tienes que estar fuera de las x es por eso que te sale ese error de

cual es el modelo de tu tarjeta de video ???

Tienes que matar a GDM/KDM también. Yo tube problemas con GDM y el driver de nvidia

# /etc/init.d/kdm stop

si usas ubuntu te da la opcion de instalar los controladores restringidos(creo que asi se llaman) para tu tarjeta.

yo he instalado varias nvidia con esa herramienta y solo es necesario reiniciar para que se active la aceleracion grafica.

estas son las tarjetas que podido acelerar de esta forma.

nvidia tnt2 riva m64 (trae salidas de s-video y rca)
nvidia geforce 2 go
nvidia geforce 2 pro
nvidia geforce 2 mx 440

todas la he probado con ubuntu 6.10 y por lo menos los efectos basicos del antiguo beryl funcionan bien.

¿Como estas matando las x? ¿ya le diste un rm a este archivo '/tmp/.X0-lock?

hola a todos bueno mate las x y el kdm y me salio un error del compilador
gcc-4.2 que necesitaba la 4.1 entonces le di este comando

export CC=gcc-4.1 y listo me dejo instalar el driver pero le doy strartx y no arrancan las x ya le di un

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg y escogo nvidia y nada

sera que me tire las x ??? creo que lo hice todo bien

Si has instalado paquetes de nvidia de los repositorios, eliminalos, por que generan conflicto con el driver de la pagina de nvidia.

gracias milux1 voy a probar despues que los desistale debo reinstalar el driver o simplemente los desistalo ???

Hola milux1 parece que ya jejeje aunque al darle glxinfo me sale un error de violacion de segmento y tengo instalado mesa-utils
no se pero algo esta mal no puedo usar mi amarok ni siquiera abre
en wine me salio esto

Hola a todos ya resolvi el problema era un scrip que me creo el driver de los repositorios que me borro las librerias TLS

lo solucione borrando el scrip y reinstalando el driver de nvidia como si nunca lo hubiera instalado al hacer lo me recupero las librerias que se me habian borrado jejeje
