Hola a todos! me ayudan con esto? Cuando activo Compiz en (select window manager) desaparecen los botones de las ventanas (minimisar, maximisar, cerrar) me funciona bien, pero quiero que esten esos botones. si en el (select window manager) cambio al compiz por la otra opcion que esta (Metacity) se restablesen los botones pero ya no hay compiz tengo "mint ketya" en mi lenovo g450, dual core... 4 de ram SO de 32bites el compiz esta por defecto en el SO. que podria ser????

Hola....si eso tambien me solía pasar
Intenta esto....en lugar de activarlo desde select window manager
En la terminal escribe
compiz --replace

Revisa también el "decorador de ventanas" (que está en el mismo botón de compiz manager), cuando uso compiz en mi caso debo tener activado el decorador de ventanas: GTK Window Decorator, porque si uso el KDE4 Window Decorator me surge el mismo problema...
Entonces... para que funcione compiz debo tener activado como window maneger a Compiz y como Window Decorator a GTK

Hola nicky... la verdad que yo soy un "pequeño saltamontes"  y no se mucho sobre lo que tu me dices, pero cuando quiero hacerme el guapo con algún windolero pongo mi Debian con gnome (porque yo lo uso con KDE) y activo el compiz y solo tengo esas 2 posibilidades (GTK y Kwin) y con GTK es que funciona el compiz... Saludos.

este que tengo no viene con emerald, la opcion GTK venia por defecto... asi que no me sirvio
pero despues baje el emerald, lo active... lo seleccione lo personalice.... muy bello...
pero tampoco me agrego los botones... bueno. seguire intentando.... de todas formas ustedes son una guia.

Emm bueno si tienes compiz debes tener en algun lado de los menus algo del compiz settings editor, o preferencias de compiz, donde personalices los efectos y todo eso. Ahi viene eso

activas el "compiz fusion icon", das clic derecho sobre este y eliges "Settings Manager" y en la ventana que se te despliega activas la opción "Compativilidad de Gnome", además desde ahí puedes activar, modificar, editar todos los efectos instalados...

En particular, y si mal no recuerdo, alguno de los mios de mi epoca de compiz/beryl, que segun mi memoria estaria bastante detallado. por si acaso, aqui tienes mi ultimo intento (con kde, pero manejando con emerald). no es la mejor de las guias (juro que si me pongo a escribir en plan guia se me entiende mejor), pero... imagino que te puede servir. http://historiasdeunalinuxera.blogspot. ... ulo-1.htmlhttp://historiasdeunalinuxera.blogspot. ... ulo-2.htmlcorrijo: va con kwin. ni yo se lo que hice. y no, no explica COMO hice que funcionase.
